WHO WE ARE
The 1886 Historic Shanley House is the home of the Lake Granbury Art Association, its Gallery, and Workshop Studio. For over 50 years the LGAA has been dedicated to providing a learning environment where established artists bring their knowledge and experience to teach and guide less experienced artists or anyone with an interest in art. We achieve this through our monthly meetings with artist demonstrations in a wide variety of media, multi-day workshops taught by local and national professional artists, our popular annual summer youth workshop, and more.

Our portrait group meets weekly and draws clothed model volunteers from the local community for practice. Each model is paid with the drawings of the artists. Our new First Friday Feedback allows members to bring in a current art project for guidance and advice from one of our rotating professional artists who each have teaching experience. We have regular shows in our gallery exhibiting LGAA member work, often themed, group shows, and of course our open juried show that draws in both local and national artists showcasing an engaging, diverse, and high-caliber of painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, digital art, photography and much more. LGAA is a 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization run by volunteers; artists who truly believe in the power of creativity and the impact it can have on the community as a whole.

The Shanley House Gallery averages over 5,000 visitors per year. We plan to add additional signage closer to the square that would increase awareness of our location and guide people to our “just off the historic square”gallery. We have also been added as a Trolley Stop location and expect to see an increase in visitors for this year and the years to come.

2023 “THE FALL SHOW” STATS & COMMUNITY ECONOMIC IMPACT
Our 2023 show featured 62 artists juried in by our show judge from 210 entries.

• 20% were local artists
• 80% were other Texas cities or out of state
• 7 states were represented Ohio, Minnesota, Washington, New Mexico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Florida

On average, the artists came to Granbury three separate times. Once to drop off their work, again for the awards reception, and finally to pick up any unsold pieces. We estimate 150 rooms were reserved from the three visits combined. Show artists and their families naturally explored and shopped around the historic square, enjoyed local entertainment, and ate at various restaurants while in Granbury.

WHAT YOU GET AS A SPONSOR
Of course you get the satisfaction that comes from supporting a non-profit whose goal is to engage the
community and spread the beauty and joy that art brings to everyone. Art is truly a necessity or as we in the LGAA like to say, “Life is art and art is life”. Your support of our organization will not go unnoticed by the community. City officials and other local organizations have been making leaps and bounds gaining grants, and state designations to promote Granbury as an art destination. You can be a part of this. Please review our Sponsorship form. It explains the various levels of sponsorship and the benefits that come with it. We hope you choose to support our show with a sponsorship and support our organization as a whole by attending The Fall Show and all our other shows and events throughout the year. You are always invited and we hope to see you there.
