Audrey Caylor is a contemporary wildlife and and western artist. Audrey has won numerous awards and is a member of several art societies. She has been a member of the American Impressionist Society, the National Oil and Acrylic Society, A Cowgirl Artist of America, our own Lake Granbury Art Association as well as the Cross Timbers Fine Art Council. Her mediums of choice are oil and acrylic paints. “The purpose of my work is to capture the feeling or the spirit of the animal with a simple glance. This
workshop will teach intermediate oil painting. Audrey will teach us
about color theory, design, and the use of the palette knife. So get
ready for an exciting workshop where you will learn new techniques!
Supplies
- Primed 16x16 or 16x20 canvas (depending on your chosen photo ratio).
- Pencil & eraser.
- Oil paints, palette, palette knives.
- 8x10"or 8x8" print of an animal photo with good lighting. (Audrey will have extras for you to use if needed)
- Odorless mineral spirits, various paintbrushes (1/4"-1 1/2"), non-toxic oil painting medium, paper towels.
Optional: Ruler, color wheel, value scale, phone, gloves.
