Have you ever wanted a painting of your pet?  Create your own custom painting at our Paint Your Pet event Saturday June 15, 2024 4pm-7pm.  The Lake Granbury Art Association is sponsoring this BYO food and non-alcoholic beverage event.  The instructor onsite will provide guidance and advice on how to paint your animal of interest.  You do not need to be an artist to enjoy this fun and casual teen-to-adult event.

Before the event, the artist instructor will sketch your best friend onto canvas so it will be ready for you to paint the background and animal detail during the workshop. We will provide canvases, brushes, acrylic paints, and aprons. You provide willingness for fun!

SOURCE PHOTO GUIDELINES
On or before June 10, please send your high-resolution pet photo to workshops@lakegranburyart.com. 

• Pet is sitting or standing at eye-level with the camera.
• Pictures of your pet’s face, close-up without a lot of background, work best.
• For pets with darker coat colors please use bright light or bright background.
• One pet per canvas please.

ABOUT THE ARTIST INSTRUCTOR
Carl Stidston is a resident of Granbury and actively involved in the Pecan Plantation Art Guild and Lake Granbury Art Association.  He enjoys painting animals and landscapes, in both realistic and impressionistic styles.  You can find his art on display in multiple Granbury locations: around Pecan Plantation, the Texas Art Connection book (on Amazon) and during the month of June it will be on display here in the Shanley House.

Please mail signed form and payment to reserve you seat. Please note, seats will be reserved on a first come basis based on date form was received by LGAA, not when is mailed. You may also bring the form to the Shanley House Gallery in person.
