Come to our next monthly meeting on Monday, March 9, at 7pm and enjoy a presentation by Maryann Brummer. Her work is colorful and contemporary. Landscapes, cityscapes, floral and still life are common subjects.

The natural world is a favorite focus. She enjoys what the landscape gives her when painting on-site outdoors, known as painting en plein air. Whether it’s colorful light, clear water, cold rain-soaked mornings or frequently a surprising change in weather conditions, she welcomes it. Her work shows an eye for large shapes: chunks of mountain, pools of water and the structure of buildings. Maryann paints in oil and occasionally watercolor and acrylics.
