CANCELLED-October 16 | Granbury Camera Club Meeting

"Sorry Folks, we're cancelling tonight's meeting due to the danger of flash floods. Thank you to the couple of brave folks who said they would try to make it, but the overwhelming response to yesterday's email regarding whether or not to cancel was "staying at home." I have rescheduled with Bill Bruce for next month. The program on street photography will be on Tuesday, November 13, 6:30 p.m. This is a week earlier than our typical monthly meeting. See you then. And stay dry!"

Join us next Tuesday, October 16, 6:30 p.m., at Granbury's Shanley House for the next meeting of the Granbury Camera Club. We'll hear a presentation on Street Photography from Canadian photographer Bill Bruce. This program was recently given to the Calgary Camera Club.Bill describes street photography as, ". . . Candid scenes of life and human nature. . . a way to show our surroundings and how we, as photographers relate to them or experience them." This fascinating subject will encompass techniques and skills needed to enhance photgraphic story-telling whether at home or in a foreign land.

Bill and his wife Pat, who also loves to take pictures, live in one of the most beautiful places in the world — Calgary in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Since age eight when he received his first 35mm camera, Bill has honed his photo skills while capturing these awesome, rugged landscapes. Through the years, Bill has traveled the world, taking photos of people, city streets, landscapes and more. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from Bill Bruce!
