Art Reflects Love of Nature
This celebrated wildlife enthusiast is the next demonstration artist at the Lake Granbury Art Association's monthly gathering.
Originally from Liverpool, England, Prescott studied at the Art College there, becoming adept in oils, watercolors, pastels and graphite pencils. He emigrated to the United States in 1978 to live in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. His neighbors were racoons, black bear, cougars, big horn sheep, bobcats, golden eagles and other small creatures. “It was heaven”, he says. This love and interest in animals as well as their conservation launched his career as a wildlife artist.
Many publications have featured both his art and him as a wildlife artist and supporter of habitat conservation. Prescott's paintings have been featured on the cover of many magazines including Wildscape Magazine and Irish Country Sports and Country Life Magazine. Prescott has been featured in many exhibitions throughout the U.K. and the U.S. He was a featured artist at Your Private Collection Art Gallery at March Last Saturday Gallery Night.
