The Granbury Camera Club will host a Gear Sale and Swap along with a presentation on mirrorless cameras beginning at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 21, at the Shanley House for the Arts, 224 N. Travis St., Granbury. From 10:30 a.m. until noon, Bill Porter from Arlington Camera and Jimmy Ton of Sony will compare and contrast various digital camera technologies, illustrate the equipment’s use and explain the benefits versus drawbacks of various cameras.
Following the presentation by Arlington Camera and Sony, visitors will be invited to shop at the Camera Club’s Gear Sale and Swap, a popular way to purchase cameras, lenses and accessories at a discounted price. The Sale and Swap will be held from Noon until 3 p.m. at the Shanley House. Club members and area photography enthusiasts are invited to sell their gear. Since most photographers have excess bags, batteries, lenses, flashes, camera bodies and more, there should be plenty of equipment from which to choose!
Do you want to sell or trade? Individuals who wish to sell/trade equipment must register with the Club by emailing Jack Lawless at firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no fee associated with participation, but you may be asked to bring a small table on which to sell your gear. Presently, the Club has 6 tables that may be divided into two “booths” each. These will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. If you only have a couple of items to sell, bring them and visit with those present to determine if you can make a deal. All sales are between buyer and seller only. Neither Granbury Camera Club, event organizers or the LGAA are responsible and do not warrant any equipment, sale or exchange.
